Create daily use public space while maintaining safety and security protocols. Designed public entry with educational space, museum, while displaying vast collection of memorabilia and antiques.
Obtain LEED certification and qualify for energy grants for solar array on bay roof. Energy modeling and life cycle analysis completed for grants, demonstrate 14% better performance than required for grants.
Create new station that garners neighborhood and business acceptance and respects the neighborhood. Participated in numerous neighborhood meetings/forums and welcomed input from neighbors. Utilized materials, shapes and massing to creat a modern facility.
Design the project within a tight budget while still including all systems for a modern fire facility. Value-Engineered the building to include durable materials and only the essential spaces.
